Description | Cluster node '%1' was removed from the active failover cluster membership. The Cluster service on this node may have stopped. This could also be due to the node having lost communication with other active nodes in the failover cluster. Run the Validate a Configuration wizard to check your network configuration. If the condition persists, check for hardware or software errors related to the network adapters on this node. Also check for failures in any other network components to which the node is connected such as hubs, switches, or bridges. |
Event Information | According to Microsoft : Cause : This event is logged when Cluster node was removed from the active failover cluster membership. This is usually due to a problem in a resource DLL. Please determine which resource DLL is causing the issue and report the problem to the resource vendor.
You can also use cluster validation on configured failover clusters as a diagnostic tool. Specific validation scenarios. This section describes scenarios in which validation is also needed or useful. Validation before the cluster is configured: A set of servers ready to become a failover cluster: This is the most straightforward validation. In the console tree, expand Diagnostics, expand Event Viewer, expand Windows Logs, and then click System. To filter the events so that only events with a Source of FailoverClustering are shown, in the Actions pane, click Filter Current Log. On the Filter tab, in the Event sources box, select FailoverClustering. Open Event Viewer and look for an Event ID 1230. Identify the date / time as well as the resource name and resource type. Generate the cluster.log with the Get-ClusterLog cmdlet. Go to the C: Windows Cluster Reports folder and open the Cluster.log file. Using the time stamp from the Event ID 1230 find the point of the failure.
